In Their Own Words
These are accounts from families we have worked with β shared with their kind permission. Names and details have been slightly adjusted for privacy.
Siriporn K.
Silom, Bangkok
"We had years of my father's papers in a series of unlabelled boxes β insurance documents, property records, letters and old receipts all mixed together. Nattaporn came over two mornings and we worked through it steadily. The result was a clean folder system and an index I can actually use. Completely worth the time."

"I found the Legacy Sessions a bit difficult to schedule at first because of my mother's health, but Sumalee was very accommodating about timings and never made us feel rushed. The written notes she produced after each session captured things I had not expected my mother to share. I am glad we did it."

"The heirloom archiving service was more thorough than I had expected. Phirom photographed every single item, including small things I had almost forgotten about, and the written descriptions are really useful β they mention condition and approximate age. My siblings all got a copy of the archive and everyone was genuinely touched."
Heirloom & Photo Archiving Β· May 2025
Wanchai S.
Chatuchak, Bangkok
"I was initially unsure whether this kind of service existed. I found Heirloomly through a recommendation and got in touch just to ask a question. They were clear from the first reply about what they do and what they don't. That honesty made me comfortable enough to book. The paper-sorting job was exactly what we needed β nothing more, nothing less."

Anchana P.
Sukhumvit, Bangkok
"The sessions were gentle and not at all what I expected. I thought it might feel awkward talking through family memories with someone I had just met, but Sumalee has a way of making conversations feel natural. We covered three generations in four sessions and I have a proper written record of it now. My only thought is that it would have been good to have more time, but that is not a complaint."

Rattana W.
Samphanthawong, Bangkok
"We have around 40 years of family photographs β prints, slides and a box of early digital photos printed on poor-quality paper. The archiving team handled everything with care, including the most fragile prints. The digital archive they produced is well-structured and the written captions on older photographs are particularly useful since we didn't know the context of some of them."

A Few Detailed Journeys
Families who gave permission for us to share a little more detail about their experience.
Estate Papers After a Family Loss
Following their father's passing, three siblings in Bangkok discovered nearly four decades of paperwork spread across multiple rooms β some filed in folders, some loose, some in envelopes that had never been opened. None of them knew what was important and what was not, or how to begin.
Heirloomly carried out the Personal Papers Organising service over two full days. Documents were sorted into agreed categories, placed in labelled folders and cross-referenced in a printed master index. Anything the family wanted digitally backed up was scanned to a USB drive they provided.
The siblings now have a navigable system shared equally between them β each has a copy of the index. What had felt overwhelming was completed within the week they had set aside. The family noted the work was done with no disruption to other items in the home.
"We couldn't have done this without help, and the way it was handled felt respectful of what we were going through." β K.S., Silom
Preserving an Elderly Parent's Memories
A family in Lat Phrao was concerned that their 83-year-old mother held a wealth of family history in her memory β places, names, stories β that younger members had never heard. They wanted to capture this while she was still well enough to share it, but weren't sure how to approach it without upsetting her.
Three Storytelling & Legacy Sessions were held at the family home over two weeks. Sumalee led each session gently, using structured prompts to guide conversation. The pace was adjusted session to session based on how the mother was feeling. Session notes were provided within 48 hours of each meeting.
The family received a 28-page compiled legacy document covering three generations of family history, including places of origin, significant events and descriptions of meaningful objects. The mother found the experience enjoyable rather than tiring and asked about a fourth session.
"We didn't realise how much she remembered until we sat down properly. The document is something our whole family will keep." β P.T., Lat Phrao
